Digital Sales Executive - Motorchoice

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Motorchoice division, part of the John Clark Motor Group. As a forward-thinking business, we are seeking to progress our e-commerce proposition and improve our customer’s online purchasing experience by introducing a dedicated digital team. This team will manage all online enquiries and orders and will work closely with the centre teams to ensure that our customers buying experience is seamless whether they are buying in store or at home via our e-commerce channel.

Purpose of the Digital Sales Executive Role

In this critical support role, you are the link between our customer and the business, administrating the sale and delivery of their new car online. You will need to consistently represent the standards expected by the John Clark Motor Group, as you are likely to be the first and maybe the only contact the customer will have with the company.

This role would suit experienced administrators or Customer Service Support / Advisors who can demonstrate the ability to build rapport with others quickly, show great attention to detail and a real passion for meeting customers’ needs and expectations.

Key Tasks of Digital Sales Executive

•         Responding to vehicle orders placed online

•         Liaising with the Digital team regarding any queries and questions

•         Checking vehicle stock for vehicle availability with the digital administrator

•         Keeping customers informed about their purchase

•         Processing finance applications and dealing with any queries raised by customers or finance providers

•         Working with Digital Sales Manager to place order for new cars when required

•         Working with digital admin to ensure vehicle orders are processed accurately and timely to meet planned customer deliver dates

•         Ensuring we have all the customer documentation and information prior to delivery/handover

•         Ensuring vehicles are insured and taxed prior to delivery

•         Coordinating delivery dates between the retail stores and logistics team

•         Responding to inbound emails and telephone calls regarding vehicles ordered but not yet delivered


Person Specification of Digital Sales Executive

Customer Service/Sales experience

Experience in administration or customer service preferrable

Computer literate and confident with data input

Communication via email and telephone

Adhering to processes and systems

  • Excellent Communication Skills (English) both written and verbal
  • Customer focused and passionate about offering a positive and professional customer experience
  • Highly organised and structured
  • Likes working to and meeting deadlines
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Logical with a high level of attention to detail
  • A team player, willing to support the wider team for the benefit of the customer or the business
  • Be comfortable explaining complicated things in an everyday way

  • An interest in cars would be preferable but not essential
