PDI Technician - John Clark Aberdeen

Do you have a passion for all things automotive? John Clark Aberdeen, are currently offering a fantastic opportunity as a PDI Technician to join our business based out of our Aberdeen Bodyshop. This role would suit someone who has an interest in developing their technical knowledge, efficient labour productivity and has a keen interest in the automotive industry.

As a PDI Technician you will look after all the new and used car preparation, as well as being in charge of the final check to make sure the car as safe mechanically sound. You will also help add on any additional products the customer may require, this role would suit someone who is looking to take their first steps into a main dealer and wants to progress through the ranks.

What we need from the PDI Technician:

  • Carry out Used/New car preparation
  • Examine vehicles and report defects against Department of Environment (MOT) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) standards
  • Work with colleagues to maintain workshop standards of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Take personal responsibility for the daily maintenance of workshop equipment, and reports equipment defects or problems that need attention
  • Attend all specialised training, product knowledge and any other such relevant training that is requested of you
  • Reach / maintain appropriate level of Technician Certification
  • Checking all vehicles are mechanically sound
  • Performing MOT checks if qualified

Skills required for PDI Technician - If you’ve got it, we want it!

  • Be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Hold a valid MOT Licence (Not essential)
  • Be able to interact with customers to deliver a great service
  • Work efficiently under pressure
  • Work quickly and efficiently to make sure the work is completed on time and right first time
  • Be a euthanasic and hardworking person who is keen to learn
