The opportunity

John Clark Motor Group are looking to recruit an exceptional Head of Finance & Insurance to provide effective leadership of our F&I Department, striving to support the delivery of our ambitious 2021 plans.

The Head of Finance & Insurance is a key member of our management and leadership team. The role will report into the Group Managing Director and will work closely with John Clark’s Senior Leadership Team plus manage your own team to deliver our strategic ambition plan. We are looking for an individual who has a track record of success, inspires teams and provides highly effective Finance & Insurance Sales support to our dealerships across Scotland. We are looking for someone who will shape the next step of our journey in Finance and Insurance through achieving ambitious targets and driving continual improvement & growth within our group.

Just some of the essential duties of the Head of Finance & Insurance:

• Manages and develops the Groups first, second and third string funding partner relationships which includes the initial negotiation of each retail finance package for each annual contract’s prior to presentation and approval by the Board.
• Relationship management with each value-added Product partner
• Develop, review and help deliver the Group’s annual F&I budgets with the Groups Brand Director team
• Development and production of KPI reports to allow tracking and improvement of branch F& I performances
• Oversight and development of FCA critical processes – although compliance will be managed by the Corporate Compliance team
• Support and develop the Groups Sales Controllers to ensure all processes are adhered to deliver a compliant and high performing sales process
• Be aware of key changes in regulation and ensure the Group’s sales processes remain compliant and effective at all times
• Develop Sales Controllers Pay Plans alongside the Brand Directors to achieve budgets whilst reviewing Monthly & Quarterly Bonus calculations checks
• Constantly analyse sales performance to continuously develop and improve the F&I sales processes across the business in line with the Groups Customer First principles

To be successful within the Head of Finance & Insurance role you will ideally have a Degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field, experience in a similar senior role with examples of delivering excellence in a variety of enabling services including, finance, insurance and sales, plus if you had automotive experience this would be preferred. You will be flexible, pro-active and an excellent communicator plus have an excellent eye for detail. You will be driven and engaged by John Clark’s vision and values and inspire your team to do the best job at all times.
