Payroll Processor- Aberdeen

John Clark Motor Group has a vacancy for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their busy HR/Payroll team based at the Holding company in Aberdeen. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with previous Payroll experience wanting to join a fantastic team in a business at the forefront of our industry.

Based at the group’s head office in Aberdeen, the Payroll Assistant position:

  • Monthly processing of wages to all group employees
  • Accurate recording of Tax and N.I. records and reporting to HMRC approved standards
  • Reporting to the Group HR Manager
  • Key relationships with Group Directors, Dealership Managers and other Holding Company managers and staff.

Key responsibilities of Payroll Assistant:

  • To ensure the smooth running of the payroll department, accurate monthly input of approved payments to the groups employees, maintaining accurate payroll records in accordance with HMRC approved standards
  • Ensuring all employee eligibility checks have been carried out
  • Monthly wages paid within agreed time limits set
  • Employee contracts, job descriptions and any other employee documentation required for payroll completion
  • To ensure strict confidentiality in relation to the company’s/employee’s affairs

Individual requirements for Payroll Assistant:

  • Volume Payroll processing experience essential
  • The ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Numerate and literate
  • Opera system experience an advantage but full training will be given
  • Due to the confidential nature of this position, the highest personal standards are expected.

Hours of Work are 8.30am until 5pm, Monday – Friday with a one half hour lunch break.
