Head of Fleet & Leasing
John Clark Motor Group
Role Purpose
- Lead and grow the Group Fleet & Leasing function, delivering profitable volume through a number of channels including, business contract hire, broker channels and corporate partnerships and salary sacrifice, across all John Clark Group brands.
- Develop the commercial strategy and day to day performance of Fleet & Leasing, ensuring alignment with Group objectives, OEM requirements and partner objectives.
Key Responsibilities – Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and deliver a Group-wide Fleet & Leasing strategy to grow unit volumprofit
- Secure and manage strategic partnerships with leasing companies, brokers and corporate customers.
- Lead negotiations on RFO, commit-to-purchase, salary sacrifice and volume registration arrangements.
- Optimise use of Group stock pipelines to support fleet objectives and manage overage risk.
Performance Management
- P&L responsibility including budgeting, forecasting and delivery of fleet volume and profit targets.
- Monitor marketing offers, pricing strategy, margin performance and channel mix.
- Provide regular reporting to the Group Commercial Director on performance, risks and opportunities.
OEM, Broker & Partner Management
- Be the senior commercial contact for OEM fleet and leasing teams.
- Ensure adherence with OEM fleet programmes, and brand standards.
- Position JCMG as a preferred supply partner within the fleet and leasing market.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop and motivate the Fleet & Leasing team across regions and brands.
- Promote cross-brand working and remove silos within the fleet operation.
- Support recruitment, training and succession planning aligned to growth objectives.
- Maintain strong controls around pricing, discount support and commercial approvals.
Internal Collaboration
- Work with Marketing and Digital teams on fleet website development and online lead platforms.
- Support Retail and Corporate teams to ensure fleet opportunities are identified and routed effectively.
- Ensure close working relationships with Group LBDMs, Franchise Directors, General Managers and all group departments
